Do you use photobucket? Makes it very easy to post pics, then you just copy and paste the url it gives you.

I love those bikes. But I think I read somewhere that they had a cooling problem that made the heads warp. Not sure what the solution was but I'm sure it's not a big deal.

Never heard that one. It is known that they have a problem with oil starvation to the #3 rod.
My dad has a '94 D-model and it's not a corner carver but it's silky smooth. They make awesome sport-tourers.
I had to crack into his engine about 5 years ago. He bougth his with a gear problem. I had to replace a shift fork, and a couple of the gears. Pretty easy actually. If you need to service the tranny you can split the cases without removing the top end.
If you're not setting the bike up for the strip, I'd get the suspension pieces for it. Check into Racetech and see what they recommend.
Enjoy you're new ride.

The only way I can post a pic. on the site is go to the (adjusting image quality on my cam then select Shooting web/email quality).. any other setting it tells me the pic. is to large. I'm using a OLYMPUS fe-210 camera. I hope this helps.

StreetfighterKZ got it right; they had a problem with the rod bearing, but I've never heard anything about warpage on the head. If you hammer the living crap out of it (for like 10s of thousands of miles) you might end up replacing 2nd gear or some shift forks, but what bike won't need some love after that kind of hammering.
I had a '92 "C" model with a pipe, filter, jet kit, and power-pack. It put up 129.8 bHp at the rear wheel, and cranked off 10.5 @ 135mph - 1.7 60ft - with my 195lb ass in the saddle. Drove it 70 miles to the track, ran it hard all night long, and drove it 70 miles right back home. It was a Timex, sold it to a buddy of mine when I started grad school; he's still got it, it's got 35K+ on it, runs like a champ...but for some reason it still goes through rear tires like a hot-knife through butter, and needs steering head bearings inside 10K, also! :woohoo:

the one i'm going after is a 92 c i know the d model is the one every body want's but i have a few tricks up my sleeve i have built a few of these for customers before and i'm pretty sure i can make the big monster work well. the motor has just over 29,000 km's on it so it should be good for a while not to mention the parts load that i'm getting has two more parts motors with it so i'll be set for a while i think.

I know the motors are pretty much interchangable between the two models, you just have to flip the countershaft sprocket around and that's about it.
BTW, somewhere around my parents house is a V&H Power Pack for a C-model. Let me know if you're interested and I'll try to find it for you.
Post pics when you can.
