well guy's it look's like i have bought another bike andone of the ones i've always dreamed about getting i'm getting a big tax refund cheque in the next week or so, so iwas looking at a few buy and sell sites that are up locally about 5 hours away and i found a crashed zx-11 that has low milage for a decent price and i was curious so i printed it off then about 10 min. later i found a parts stash for the same bike two motors and a full set of good body work two full exhaust's and spare wheels brakes and gaugescouple sets of carbs. so it look's like i might be taking a trip south soon to pick-up everything it also has two titled frames so i can probably end up with the better part of two bikes out off all this, sell one and keep the other or build up one for drag racing and ride the other i'm not sure which way to go but i hate selling any bikes that i have,so it looks as if i will end up with two zx-11's to go along with the full set of mint stock exhaust that i picked up last week for my 1981 j that i've been tossing around what to do with now it looks like i'm might have to do a semi resto on that one as well also i got given to me a 1978 x dragbike kz1000 that it looks as if would be the perfect canidate for a road race machine so it looks as if my hands will be full for the next while.just think turn on the key and push the starter button and an instant 150= horsepower bike comes to life awesome. any body got an extras set of 81 j gauges laying around that they could part with.

nice score....some of the extras that came in my 1000j bulk project were tachs and speedos, unfortunatly i am slow to work on stuff, and it happens in spurts and stalls,so i dont know which stuff i'll need yet but theres triple of instruments....i was looking at some of the complete sets that auction and also the gpz1100 square enclosed sets come up...too....sometimes they dont draw big bids at all...strike!!!,,,and am wondering if i'll just go that route and piece sell my junk...
......nice score if you go for it it seems(zx11)...there is a maroon one with a long muzzy- can -pipe around the coast and you can hear it a half mile away in a busy downtown....the guy riding it seems to know how to ride a motorcycle and the thing is definitly impressive -old -or not...it is a mean bike and cool looking.....good luck ...
i looked more close at the zzr1200's used for me and amy and it has a way slopped forward passenger seat ,so i think we would be hurting on longer trips and any hard turns....gonna go more standard prob...peace craig

over the years of working in the motorcycle trade like i have i definitly a developed a few favorites of the years and one of my all time fav's for pure speed comfort and the ability to eat up the miles on long trips has always been the mighty zx-11. after kz's i'd have to say they are definitly the most desirable bike that kawi made for me they do it all well good handling for a big bike awesome power and incredible acceloration with lot's more available so why not go for it i will never get rid of my zr's but i need this bike it is the one i have been waiting for the last ten or so years. this is to close it has to be ordained what are the chances of finding a crashed bike and the ten minuetes later find a complete stash of parts that are just what i need to make this one right with out having to hunt it is karma it has to be. the planets must be in line for me or something.

Definitely quick bikes, sounds like a nice score. The ZX11 is the only modern big bore streetbike I've ridden - as long as you turned your wrist and upshifted the thing just kept accclerating. More like a rheostat with unlimited power than a throttle...
