You arent going to need to change the fork lowers around. Just take them out of the trees and flip them left to right. Nice looking new calipers, your right, Im sure you will need to make some sort of spacer to match them up to your fork lowers. Once you get them on I think I still have a rotor from my wire wheel with single disc setup. I probably still have a caliper if needed also

If they are flipped, how do I mount the fender? does it need the braces that connect on the bottom of the fork? (in pic) or should I shorten the back of the fender if its not stable enough without the braces?

What do you guys want for the disks? and are they drilled?

how about the rest of the wheel?;)put an ltd fender on there you wont need the brase anymore:whistle:

You dont need those braces. I cut mine off and ran around without them just fine.

If you use an LTD front fender on regular forks you will want to drill some new holes to mount them. If you click on my blue bike below you can see the difference with the LTD fender on B forks compared to LTD forks

I'm pretty sure you'll need to upgrade the master cylinder though.
The 650's (and other KZs I believe) with the single disc front brakes used a 1/2" piston bore master cylinder, the dual disc bikes used a 5/8" piston bore master cylinder.
Plus the fluid reservoir is larger on the 5/8" bore master cylinder.
I've heard that when using the 1/2" bore master cylinder for dual discs it will make the brakes feel "soft", and actually be worse than just having a single disc since there's not enough pressure created by the smaller piston bore.

You really don't need the stabilizer bar for the front fender. I just recently removed the stabilizer bars on my bike. And at 100mph, or in tight high-speed cornering or extremely rough roads, I haven't felt or seen any difference in handling or movement at all.
Or you could just use the shorter fender off of a 900 as well, it doesn't have the bars on it.

I like the LTD fender, but I'll probly just go with what I have for now.(without the braces)
Oh yeah, won this setup from the same guy for a $1 (and shipping), nothing to put it on yet lol, but I'll have a ZX or GPz rear wheel w/disk before the bike movesB)

The GPz wheel should fit my ZX swingarm no trouble( might take some custom spacers), But It may be too wide for a stock KZ swingarm. Anyone want to verify this? I'll get some pics comparing the widths of the swingarms tomorrow if that helps any

1/2" master cylinder will make your brakes require less hand pressure to stop in the same distance as a 5/8" master cylinder. Put another way, 1/2" longer lever travel with more pressure on the brake pads, 5/8" less lever travel with less pressure on the brake pads.
