so is the dunlop d401 ok to use with the dunlop 404 in the rear?

why yes it is you cant do real good burnouts with it thou

is your bike two wheel drive, didn't think so, thats why its no good at burnouts

I put a brand new set of Dunlop 404's on my 750 twin this past summer, they'll be replaced with GT501's before riding season starts.

Tires are like anything else, you get what you pay for, and 404's are cheap.

Couldn't have said it better, don't use the 404.

I think i am going to get the 404 just for the primary reason that im going to be at the strip alot with the 900 this summer, and i would rather burn a cheap tire than an expensive one.

Ok, i got the 404's in the mail, i hate them. So i sent thim back, and got gt 501's instead, they are a far better tire. A little more coin but well worth it.

Good choice. Did you hate them even before mounting them? I know I wasn't exactly thrilled and less than thrilled after mounting too.

I'm running Bridgestone Spitfires and really like them. I swore by Dunlop but put a pair on another bike and they checqued in 2 seasons. Never had that happen before. Left enough of a bad taste that I switched to the Stones and have been very happy with sets on three of my bikes. Plus I got the raised lettering on the Stones which looks good after using a detailing pen. B)

Lol, ya one look at them when they came out of the box and i new they would be bad, i wanna thank steell and any other of you great guys for recomending the gt 501's, i know i will be really happy with them and so will my bike.
