When figuring for handlebars hold your arms out in a comfortable position. Notice the position your wrists are in. Usually its square with your arms. Most bars do not put your hands in this position and produce wrist problems. Another thing to consider is if you are driving at 50+ mph there is considerable wind force trying to push you backwards. Trying to hold yourself up into the wind is another consideration as it produce a lot of fatigue. The solution is to be leaning forward a little on the cushion of wind letting that help you. Note - too much forward and you remove the benefits and get fatigued pushing yourself up. Third is how you sit on the bike. On your tailbone or on your thighs. Tailbones get angry pretty quick while your thigh muscle takes much more abuse before paying you back. Keep in mind that we are talking freeway speeds and distance here.;)
