Center stand

Can anyone clue me in on which center stands are interchangeable with my '80 KZ1000 B4?

I'm looking for one and have found a few on ebay but they're for different models and I don't want to purchase the wrong one.

The B/LTD models didn't come with a center stand.
Does it have the mounts for a stand?

Yes, it does have mounts.

I have a frame lift and it's on it now but, I have to take the Kerker header off to use it. I don't want to have to do that every time I just want to lift the wheel.

the ltds have the tabs for center stand on the frame.i might be wrong but i would think a plain ol kz stand would work,might need a little tweaking depending on which exhuast you are running.

15 seconds for one weakling, two jackstands, and a pipe ---

4' of standard biker's pipe

Jack stands on both sides --

Insert pipe



(Normal chain slack allows ample leeway for pipe).

All the way through

Put right end of pipe in place on muffler side of bike
(see next post)

Grasp left end of pipe
