I could be wrong definately. In all these years and Kawasaki's I've had a total of (2) master cylinder problems. If it's one of those round master cylinders, those are without a doubt hard to get the clip out of. If it's the newer trapazoid shape, those come apart with a simple screwdriver pry.

I am having the SAME problem, with a NEW FACTORY kit. . .
This thing was working, but had started to drop pressure occasionally, like the seals were getting old after 50k miles.
It all worked prior to the swap.
Now I can't get ANYTHING.
. . .it . . . only pumps out a small drible of fluid . . . have tried and tried for at least . . .HOURS . . . and still it's no better. . . .

The hole between the reservoir and the master cylinder is plugged. If it can't draw fluid into the master cylinder then there's a vacuum.

Work smarter guys, not harder  ......
Mityvac bleeder kit
I wasted about 3 hours a day for 4 days in a row trying to manually get ANY pressure out of the brakes on my ZN700.
This bike was left outside for about 8 years unprotected from all kinds of weather by it's PO, and everything on it was gummed up/rusted/etc.
I bought one of the Mityvac bleeder kits at Harbor Freight for $25, and 45 mins later had the rear brakes working so well I could lock up the rear wheel, and the front brakes are so solid that I can probably do a "stoppie" if I want to.
One of the best danged investments I've ever made!

I agree Chris, I've had one of those kits for years and it works great! Sometimes it's better to PULL the fluid through rather than PUSH! Sometimes pushing just shoves air into places you'll never get out of as vacuum will pull it all out.

I spoke too quick. . .
it drools . . .
holes aren't plugged with this unit . . . I see teeney air bubble coming back into the resevoir.
I'm going to pick up a loan a tool vacuum bleeder kit from the Advance Auto parts store on the way home. . .
I think the problem with these dual disk bikes is the way the fluid has to route to get to the calipers, plus the huge distance of rubber line that can get air in it.

When your doing the brakes consider getting the after market SS braided brake lines. The stock (or what came with the bike new)will age, expand and give a "iffy" response. Type in motorcycle brake lines on google and the list goes on and on.
