Does anyone know if there is someone who makes clip on style bars that will fit the skinny fork tubes of my 83 kz 750H?

I would check into clubman bars, as far as I can tell they achieve the same end result as far as bar positioning and they're only about $20-30 on ebay or anywhere else it seems. Thats just my two cents worth.

I love my clip-ons! Go
here
to read about the install...
One thing, though: Whether you go with clip-ons or a clubman bar, you're going to need some rearsets!

Oh man thank you so much! What a great thread with lots of pic showing exactly what I was looking for. So there was no way to hook them up above the top tree due to the master cyl?

Hmm.. You can't ride right with clubmans if you have the pegs in the standard spot? How do you install rearsets..? Bummer, I was ready to order some new handlebars tomorrow

Hmmm.. How uncomfortable would it be to have the standard pegs with the clubmans? Maybe if I turned them upside down, I like how that looks to.

I personally have had the clubmans on past bike without ever changing the peg position. I can see how it would be more comfortable with the rearsets. Myself, I may need to stick with my stock pegs untill I can go have the items that need to be shortened and welded done. I just dont have all of those fancy tools that others do.

So, um, why do you guys want clip-ons or clubmans in the first place? Isn't it about function, or are you just doing it because it looks cool? There's a reason for switching to rearsets, just as there are reasons to go for shorter bars. I now have increased comfort, control, and cornering clearance... plus I don't look like a monkey fucking a football.
I don't own a welder, but I knew a guy who had one. You can make the necessary cuts with a hack saw, then take the pieces to your local muffler shop or wherever to get it welded up. It takes about a minute to do, they shouldn't charge you too much.
The hardest part of the whole operation was finding that bolt, everything else was pretty much gravy cake.

Oh it most certainly is about function rather than form myself, the challenge is to get what functions well into the form your looking for which is why we all have passions like we do. So, about that bolt, where did you find it Guitargeek? I see why it would be such a hard one to find.
As for the bars, I would love the clip ons but maybe for now I will go with the clubmans. little quicker and then I could work on the rearsets and have them ready before i do the clip ons.
So I guess you gould say I am in the market for some, not being used clubmans!
