Smaller rotor?

Not a problem KaZoo, guess you didn't catch my post in chassis. Another member here (jjdwoodman) bent his forks in an accident and he straightend them. We pm'd and he told me how he did it. Well being a mechanic I have access to a 40 ton press so I used the 1 1/2" (38mm) dies from my pipe bending machine and pressed away! Ahter about 1 1/2 hours I had it just about perfect (straight edge on 4 sides)! So I'll be installing my factory front end, just need to hunt down a triple tree. Thanks for the offer, I really appreciate it.

Well i have a triple tree set off of an 80 750 do you know if it will work?

Thanks SLEEPER650 but according to Kawasaki.com only the bikes below share the tree with my bike. I appreciate the thought...

Do you need the whole triple tree, or just the top, or just the bottom?

Btw, The 750 triple tree holds the 36mm forks at slightly wider stance, so they wont work.

Right side upper and lower clamps are perfect. Left lower is tweaked slightly, thought about bending it but upon sliding a fork up to the upper clamp it's off by 2 inches down by the wheel. So upper is real bad and so figure just get the entire tree. Bottom may be tweaked more than I think.:dry:

Let me rummage around through my piles of parts and get back to ya on monday....

Not too bad sleeper, my budget is kinda tight and with shipping from Canada it could get pricey. But thanks for the thought..

I'm supposed to go look a some rims this weekend..maybe.
The guy says he also has a 650 frame with various
triple trees and front ends. I don't think he knows what he has.
So, we'll see.

I looked in my parts, and the only extra 650 triple tree I have has a nasty gouge in the shaft from the lower set of ball bearings. I really don't know if filling it in and using roller bearings instead of plain would be ok or not.

I'll have to see what this guy has.

I'll take a couple minutes later today (gonna be 70+) and dig for my other set of trees-- '79 650D2. I cannot vouch for integrity, but on initial inspection, they looked good enough to keep as a spare when they came unexpectedly with the forks I got from Ebay (forks and trees for $30.00) If you still need 'em- lemme know this evening and we'll make arrangements.
