zx9r swing arm swap

Hi,

I am in the process of upgrading my swingarm/rear wheel(kz 900 76). I already have the zx9r 94/97 rear wheel(5.5in) setup. I might buy the zx9r swingarm(same year). Will keep dual shock setup. Have no idea about pivot bolt size, swing arm length, work involved ! Any advice on that swap!

Is it just sitting there for the picture, or do you ride it like that?

lol ya i ride it like that... hasnt came off yet.. i didnt have a seat on the bike and the z1r1000 seat pan i have doesnt work.. so i just use this HD seat... rides nice haha

Nice Bike Rollingstock. Did it take a lot of mod to make it fit ? i prefer it though without the extra strech. Are you keeping the dual shocks ?

not really... just cut it to fit the frame.. played around with sum spacers so i could keep the stock bolt/nut...


no im not keeping it.. its was just a mock up.. these shock are off a cb750, they hit the swingarm so.. ya haha

Rolling Stock can you give us details?

Rear wheel size?
Offset sprocket if so what size?
Year of the rear wheel?

im running a 190 right now.. but the rim will hold bigger(i think the next size up is 200 or 210 sorry its been awhile).

i using a stock busa up front and the stock zx12r in the rear.. i dont know what the busa offset is.. i just went threw a box of spockets at the shop where i put the rear rim on. also running a D.I.D chain.. they used this chain on 400+hp bikes so i figured what little power i make this chain should last a while haha

everything in the rear is from a 99-01 zx9r/12r

it was a pretty easy swap.. kinda hard findin all the little parts(had everything but got f-ed over on ebay). lucky a local shop pretty much let me go threw the're used parts(i helped out there so it was nothing new haha)

oooo ya i forgot to say u have to cut the rear pegs off.. the swingarm is way to width... u might beable to heat it and bent the frame out so it clears.. i just cut it off

So what is the rim not tire size? Is it a 6" rim? ALso did you use an offset sprocket in front if so how big??

hell if i know.. iv never threw a tape on it.. so whatever a stock zx9/12r rims is...


i already said i just used the a stock busa spocket and i duno what offset it is..
