Does anyone possess or know where you can find detailed chassis specs either on the web or by CD or printed version of all the KZ and for that matter all vintage Kawis? I am looking fpr tech drawings.....a link would be nice. I have some of them I just need more sources to double check them......thanks

Have you checked the Model history section here yet, it has quite a bit of info.
IIRC, the '79 KZ1000-A3 (MK-II) had similar/identical frame, rake, steering, etc. specs as the '78 Z1R you posted a pic of. ;)

Did Kawi use a variety of upper shock mount diameters?

I think all the upper mounts on the KZ's were the same diameter, but may have been diff lengths to be able to fit the various shock models on the diff sized KZ's.

Thats the problem. I have a feeling they are probably all the same as well but i must be 110% accurate. i also need the specs for the bottom mounting point. I have all the data I need for the internals and the valving.
