Perhaps already resolved, and uncertain whether this might help, but here's an excerpt from the FSM about rear wheel installation:

Run the axle through the right chain adjuster, rear caliper holder, collar, rear hub, coupling sleeve, coupling, coupling collar, left chain adjuster, and washer. Then screw on the axle nut.

Am thinking the "spacers that fit into the grease seals on both sides" are shown in FSM as "collar" on disc side and "coupling collar" on sprocket side. The only "washer" shown is between the axle nut and left chain adjuster. The washer seems to serve only as a washer and without any function as a spacer.

Per FSM (in inches):
Front rim is 1.85x19
Rear rim is 2.15Bx18 (don't know what the B means)


The "flat spot" earlier mentioned may be rim warp (runout) which may be corrected when truing the wheel (if not badly bent).

If decide to send the wheel away for truing and perhaps new spokes, might also consider stainless steel spokes (easier to maintain).

well I took the bike to a shop near by, wescott cycles inc.

They pulled my tire off and as soon as they put the wheel up to true you could see it was bent bad. Now I need to figgure out what to do. I'm a student so $$ is not all over the place. New rim + spokes plus install is going to be around 350. I could sell the bike as is but I don't think I would be able to get what I want for it. My last option would be to find a set of cast rims for around $150 for the pair. This sucks!

yeah sorry ive got about 20 pms from everybody to read,ill box up the wheel monday or tuesday and get it out to you.ill let you know how much it is once i ship it ,then you can just send me a check when you get a chance for the shipping and send me your hub i dont have good luck with paypal.B)
