All WAS going well until I looked down to pickup the barrel to reinstall it and the locking wafer and spring were gone!  I only walked in a straight line about 20ft with it and can't find it anywhere. Looks like the Vulcan 750 is basically the same with a different connector, may have to go that route.

Well that "SUCKS" (you know once you have found an alternative the missing part will turn up  ) looking at the pics since your problem is mechanical you may be able to swop the switch onto the Vulcan assembly so you don't have to mess with the connectors ?

How many wafers are in that lock?
You may be able to use that lock without that one wafer.
You'll still have the other wafers to secure the lock.
Of course it may be slightly easier to brute force the lock with one less wafer to shear

I believe the missing wafer is the one that secures the barrel in the housing   (it's the only one the key doesn't hold in)

Yeah, the wafer that is missing is the one that holds the cylinder in the barrel.  BUT, the new "Vulcan switch" is due to arrive today!
