Aftermarket chrome meter covers

Z1Enterprises lists some chrome meter covers with clamps that fit various 70s KZ models >> Z1Ent >> Gauge Covers .
Do the covers & clamps fit over the stock meter housings & crimp rings?

Do you have any idea how much larger they are than the stock 70s crimp rings?
I was thinking I might be able to use the clamps on my meters in place of the rings.
The 81 650-CSR crimp rings are 112mm OD & the earlier 650s are about 104mm OD >> so wondering what the clamp OD might be?

The early KZ 650 tach is identical to the Z1 in size. I used the guts in mine. Those chrome covers will work on them. Yours are larger so I doubt they will fit on yours.

Thanks. I just want to try the clamps, not the chrome covers >> I know the covers won't fit.

I'm thinking if the clamps fit over the Z1 crimp rings & chrome covers, then they might fit the csr meter housing assy if I don't use the crimp ring. Mine are 112 mm OD & the Z1 crimp rings should be about 104mm. I'm thinking the aftermarket clamps would be in the 108 to 112 mm range & I'm guessing they have some flex to them.

I never liked the look of the clamps. If I were to get some I'd silicon them on without the clamps if I could.
