When I temp. installed new battery I swapped positive and negative on the battery for some seconds.... stupid....
When I try to start up now I can only hear a click, quite sure it`s from the start relay? but the start motor is not starting....

The key switch was off and all the light etc is working.....

What have I damage now.... ?

If the key switch was off nothing could damaged.
Do you got sparks when swapping positive and negative?

Looks like I only was stressed about I have damage something.....
I took a closer look now the battery need to be charged first time... I tested with my old bad battery and the start motor started and engine fired up...

So I will charge the new battery over the night :)

ufff.... now I can sleep well hehe :) clumsy of me...

What charge voltage shall I measure on idle and what shall I have one higher RPM?
What is the best way checking the charging?

I did the same thing with a brand new battery on my Bandit. The only damage came from me kicking myself.

Reversing the battery polarity will damage the rectifier if it's left on long enough. The diodes of the rectifier block current when the battery is correctly installed, but current will flow catastrophically if the battery is reversed. Some KZ's are wired such that there is a fuse preventing damage, but most are not.

It takes time to fry the diodes, though, so if it's only briefly connected backward you might be ok.

If the diodes fry open, then the symptom will be weak charging, so check your battery voltage to make sure it's charging properly.

If the diodes fail shorted, then, in addition to weak or no charging, the rectifier will get hot when the battery is connected correctly, regardless of ignition switch position.
