I finally got all the plugs and connectors in the mail along with a new stator from Ricks. While buffing the engine side covers I figured I would go new other than 40 year old electrical parts that at one time or two got hot enough to melt a couple wires at some point in time
I used 1/4" aluminum plate and counter sunk 2 flat head screws and mounted where the old one was. Ive got 1/2" clearance at the top of the side cover, and Ricks stator had a40 inch tail so all turned out neat. I also added a 30 amp fuse next to the batt. clamp and soldered up every thing with double shrink boot it looks sweet!! I will see if I set my leg on fire tomorrow.

After researching the mosfet R/R its definitely the way to go to protect the components. so I'm swapping out the R/R with the ole 76 1075 I did a ground up on a few years back. Honey Bunny just can't seem to want to understand, I'm just building up my parts inventory. To save a $164.00 stator buy a $150.00 new R/R and keep the AGM battery happy!! After all I bought a new house and garage to keep the bikes happy. It does go against my theory "Don't fix what isn't broken by getting married."

It says prod. # 21_208 I was kind of confused with their site for a while until I went to their online catalog at the top of the page. then scroll down to stator, year then street bike then scroll again and fill out info. they have stuff for400 650 etc. and if they don't have it they will rewrap your old one. or set you up where you can get one.

what I don't know, is the blue plug for stator and oil light and neutral light, cutting the stator wires and leaving the pins in to help hold the broken plug in place are they still hot some ways? Im going to boot them with shrink tube but it looks tacky and I don't want to start it with out my volt meter my cousin borrowed to Chace around his Harley Its a dilemma a new plug and wires $32, oil pressure switch with ring connecters and neutral switch for ring connectors is another$100. Its going to drive me nutz,,,crazy people stare. X2

Yes, you use the yellow wires but not the brown one. The + lead connects to the wht/red to the battery. The green plug is no longer used.
I plan to clean this up when I get to the back end of the harness.
Steve

Left to right. Black/ground, orange/+ out, grey block connectors/ three yellow wires.
