UPDATE and THANKS GUYS *and Bill* was created by 650Dude
Two weeks ago I wrote that I left my kz750 out in the freezing cold which caused all kinds of havoc. I took the battery out to protect it from the cold, but when I put it back in, the negative lead ring terminal to the battery broke, the lights werent working, including the brake light, and the bike kept shutting off.
Well today I put in a fully charged lithium IRON Deltron Battery Tender Battery, and a new EMGO ignition coil.. I also traced out the wires for shorts, etc.
Thankfully, after all of this, the bike started right up. This is the bike as I worked on it today. The car in the background is my 1964 Buick.
and I added a little sidebag

10 gauge wire seems light to me.

In the old post I mentioned that i tried to splice 10 gauge into 8 gauge wire on a ring terminal connecting to the neg battery lead, which I think caused the problem in the first place.
Then mentioned I GOT RID OF the 10 gauge wire, and clamped a ring terminal over the stock 8 gauge wire. So there is no 10 gauge in this equation anymore, thankfully!

I bet the coil was shot, whether it had to do with the resistance on that thin wire or not no one knows. Glad its back to running!

Hey Jack.
Thanks for responding. I think the issue was one or all three things I checked/replaced: Ignition coil (Photo below. The thing looked so old I was ready to carbon date it. I bet a few T-Rex's tossed it around), I put in a brand new lithium IRON PHOSPHATE battery ( to be honest, I think the old battery was shot) and traced out and moved wires in case the was a short/ground issue. Nothing like hearing a bike purr. I wish I could post video here:
