Wiring ?????

Hey guys, still at it on the 1990 KZP. Right now I'm trying to figure out what I can delete without messing up something else. Working with the wiring diagram but don't know best way to isolate each thing. So, any help on how to get rid of the turn signal self cancelling control unit would be great. Also, I will try to show a component I can't seem to identify. Anyway, all advice and guidance would be appreciated. Thanks, Keith

From the Electrical equipment diagram at Partzilla that appears to be a relay of some sort. #45 in the drawing. there's a photo of it. I'm not 100% sure, though.

The blue splice is some later add-on by a user probably.

Can you tell what the other wire colors are? That might help narrow it down.

Because of the yellow wires, I first thought siren related. But not sure.

It is a kind of power relay for police pursuit light or siren equipment (purple/yellow wires)

In the parts diagram there is a pursuit relay listed, so it's probably for the siren stuff. see electrical & siren diagrams.

Yep! In looking at the electrical markings, that's just a normally open (NO) relay. Pin 1 &2 are the coil, and pin 3&4 are the switched terminals.

There are 2 yellow wires a red one and a grey with a blue stripe. The jumper is on the red and one yellow. I know when the cops sometimes sell them they strip the siren, and pursuit stuff but who knows if that jumper was to bypass something else. Harder to figure out when it's chopped up like that.

I'm using a tablet so pictures are not the greatest. Also, note all the wires going to the turn signal self cancelling controller. Never worked since I got it. Ugh!
