One and only one resistance component may be used in the secondary loop (i.e., cap OR wire OR plug).
More than one resistor component is too much resistance, which weakens spark.
Actually don't need any resistance component in the secondary loop, which many owners achieve by fitting non-resistor caps to the stock wires and keeping the same stock non-R plugs.
Running without a resistance component in the secondary loop is expected to cause radio interference (if that matters). . . .
When checking plug spark, will have to look really fast to see which way the spark is jumping between the center electrode and the ground electrode.

I have had good success using Packard 440 wire. It is solid copper cored and the correct diameter to be used with existing caps, etc.
Inside the plug cap is a small resistor thingy, about 5/8" long. I removed it and replaced with a solid steel piece, made from a large nail. Worked well. OR replace the caps with more modern ones, and solder the wire core to the little metal piece that surrounds the spark plug top.

I ordered the Dynatek DW-300 spark plug wires. The only problem I seem to have with them is getting the plug wire to stay attached to the Accel coil. Is there a special took need to get the wire to stay connected to the coil ?

The boot/cap normally does that plus the crimped connector snaps in.

I got them crimped onto the coils and seeing a good blue spark. Thanks for the assistance.
