Simplified wiring on a 1980 kz750g twin, w/2 carbs
29 Jun 2016 17:53
hey there kzriders new to the club, new to bikes, not new to wiring. Im an automation electrician here in the pnw of the united states,
first off i know this topic has been covered and belive me ive dug through it all and cant find a good diagram with what i want or awnser my questions. Just procured myself a 1980kz 750 G at least i belive it is a g being that the vin on the frame starts with "kz750g" so i started out trying to find a wiring diagram for the G just to realize there isnt one? can anyone clear that up for me? i can find all other trim diagrams
Im trying to run my bike bare bones but with blinkers on the Rear and an electric start which from most bare bones digrams i can find people do not prefer to do. (got my bike half bobber with no wiring harness so working with stock relays/ignition isnt an option)
last do any of you bobber/ chopper builders have a go to universal wiring kit with key switch and relays included you'd recommend?
many thanks -reid
pic is of how i recived the bike

HI there, welcome to the forum. Did you pick that bike up in Mt Vernon? I think that is this bike. Guy was keeping a thread here if that interests you.

Search kzrider for bare bones for mattylight. it's a topic by loudhvx in which he provides a large number of simplified wiring diagrams. AAA+++

There's a couple of G1 twins. One was in Jan 2011, the other was Jan 2012. But one has electronic ignition, and the other was kick only. I'll post a points version with electric start. (Last page of Mattylight.)
Click "other links" in my sig. Then click "mattylight". Then click on page 19 (last page) of that thread.
