1980 Z1000g efi stator

Can anyone tell me how to test the stator on this 80 z1000 classic as well as what are the readings supposed to be please
This is not my bike its a buddies
He put a new battery in it yesterday did some riding around when he got home the battery was dead also any recommendations of where to get a replacement

The service manual has a series of tests.

Disconnect stator wiring and check:
-Resistance between legs less than .8 ohms.
-75+ VAC between legs at 5000 rpm. This test is not definitive though since there is no load.

Oh, and of course, DC voltage across the batter at 5000 rpm.
