Thanks Patton.

I recommend not doing the jumper test. Based on the spark test on the primary, it sounds to me like one of the coils has a connection to ground, that it should not have if the crank is not turning. This can result in a cooked coil.

I would do voltage tests described earlier.

I wasn't suggesting hooking it up just touching the connector briefly to see if a spark occurs.
