Are 3.4W bulbs bright enough for your speedometer?

I found specs, bulbs should be 3.4W.
That is what I installed. Advance auto has 4w bulbs, maybe I'll replace 3.4w to 4w. I cannot see anyhing with 3.4w

Great idea! I was worried about burning speedometer with too powerful bulbs.
Where did you get them? Ebay? How did you search, speedometer bulbs?

I think you can still buy the original bulbs. Over the years I've used #53 which works. Less bright I suppose, never noticed a huge difference. The LED setup is probably best if you can get decent LEDs. There is so much Chinese junk out there in LED bulbs it is rediculous.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

I think these are the ones that fit my speedo and tach. VERY bright. Super quality.

Holy Freakin Crap Steve!!
Brilliant! I never thought of searching them out! I have about 50 good old originals.
Yes, those little bulbs were always dim as hell! Then ad a few bad connections.
Perfect timing! I'm just about ready to start putting my wiring harness together. I had to clear coat my custom made guage bracket before I start to put that light harness in! I softened the light socket rubbers up with the "Wintergreen Oil" treatment.
I am going to order them right now!
Thanks for the tip!
