I found it ..you were mostly right ..i took all 4 blinkers apart and found the ones in the rear are in need of replacement..one of em had no gasket and was a corroded mess.. i cleaned em all up the best i could and used de-oxit on all the connections..I even went through all the connectors inside the headlight housing . everything is working great now ..very bright and blinking properly.
Its a temporary fix until i can replace those in the rear. but at least i made headway.

II haven't gotten to em all yet but im knocking em down little at a time.
it makes a huge difference and as i go along i find little things here and there that need attention. Like for instance when i removed one of the rear turn signals i found a wire with damaged/worn insulation.. A little shrink tube and i was done.
Fix em now instead of on the side of the road.

Disconnect the battery and start working your way from the battery out cleaning all connections and applying dielectric grease when clean. shouldn't take long after removing the tank, side covers and headlight. You should also consider disassembling and cleaning the handlebar switches.
