Z 500 mechanical advance springs...
24 Nov 2015 15:25
Hi..
I have been diagnosing an issue with a Z500 and have found the problem to be the mechanical advancer springs no longer work as they should. Does anybody know a source to get new ones from or an alternate bike that uses the same springs?
I know it's a long shot but I thought the gurus here might know...
Thanks...

Yes, seek and you will find. Either a thread here or ebay, can't remember. The springs can fatigue that will affect your advance. There are a couple of rubber dampers on the ATU that can go missing too.

I bought one for a 750 and switched parts to make a good Z1 part. $25
