Where can I get plug wires for a 1984 LTD 1100? was created by KISSfan442
Hello,
I am sure this has been asked before, but I am new here and am in need of plug wires for my bike. Two of the plug wires are missing the screw on caps, so I was wondering where I can get all new wires for the bike with those caps. I am about to start riding the bike regularly and want to make sure the plug wires aren't just shoved into the coils.

Z1 Enterprises sells 7mm copper core ignition wire by the foot, as well as NGK plug caps, for cheap. I'm not specifically familiar with your bike but on my 750 I was able to use these wires and even transferred the outer wire covering from the original wires over on top of the new wires before attaching them to the coils themselves. The photo below shows the outer tube with yellow stripe, these are the outer tubes installed over the new inner wire. Use a little WD-40 on the inside of the outer sheath and the tube will slide over the top easily.

Though I like Z1, they charge $7 handling then shipping. Best to buy a few things there and have them combine the shipping. Others don't charge handling just the shipping. I try to by from them if I can.

I checked my last few orders from Z1 and there was no handling fee and the shipping fees were reasonable.swest wrote: Though I like Z1, they charge $7 handling then shipping. Steve

Yah, I had the same experience with my purchases from Z1. I was not charged a handling fee and, shipping was reasonable, plus they combine shipping on multiple parts purchase. I need to add that I purchased an LTD seat from Z1 and, it turned out to be a first class reproduction seat that matched or exceeded OEM standards. Price was very reasonable as well.

I guess they stopped that practice. I had two large orders with them two years ago. They combined shipping also. If they don't charge the $7, I'll be inclined to buy more from them
