Which bayonet bulbs are you using (part number)?
I mean in the instruments... some of the ones I tried were so directional that i had very annoying and uneven bright hot spots vs a wash across the bezel/faceplate.

Pretty sure I used these:
www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/bayonet...-1-led-wide-angle/3/
They were pretty cheap, and I ordered the ones with the 120 degree reflector angle. I don't personally find that I get bright and dim spots in my gauges, but if memory serves, all the bulbs in mine mount up 'behind' something in the gauge. That is to say, that there is no really direct path from the bulb to the faceplate/bezel, all the the lighting is indirect. Maybe in your case, one of the 360 degree bulbs would be better? Dunno. I could see that being annoying, but it's not a problem I've had yet.
I will also stop the long hijack of a post that started with questions about speedo bounce now.

No hijack, he said he was going to replace the bulbs anyway.
