According to Zedder.com, KZT00AE106032 is within the range of engine numbers in 1980 KZ1000-A4 MKII. (KZTOOAE093001 - 110764)
KZ1000-A4 MKII VIN (vehicle identification number) range is KZTOOA-523551 - 527553.

Based on Patton's post, it looks like your engine is from a 1980 KZ1000-A4. This engine has a mechanical output for the tachometer driven by the cam shaft. The cable drive output is on the front right side of the cylinder head, above the number 3 exhaust port.

IMO any site is there for help and if someone would know an answer or has experience in a subject alot of time would be shortened searching for answers. I've been to sites where members say "do a search" and they know the answer all along. If I know an answer you'll get it and no searching needed. That's how I am anyway.
One more clue about my parts bike a stripped. I still have the tank. It's smallish, locking cap, black with two stripes going front to back on the lower sides. Ones red fading into silver at the bottom stripe.
thanks for any help good or bad.
I'll be back.
