Fork Swap and Existing Speedometer Reuse
15 Jul 2014 11:51
I am getting ready to install a 2006 GSXR 600 front end onto my 1982 GPZ1100 and I am wondering if there is anyway to reuse the existing speedometer. Is there an easy means of getting a cable drive to work with the modern wheel/front end? Do I need to forget about it and go with a new digital speedo/cluster?

Easy? No. Possible? Yes.
You just need to make some room by shortening spacers, and find a way to adapt the speedo drive to the wheel.
