The things that go blink blink :)

So when I started this project I had done away with the turn signals (and a few other things). Well after getting cursed out and honked at a few times I want to put them back. I dont want the running lights so Im leaving them out. My problem is after mocking some up I cant get ANYTHING. Cant even get them to stay on. I'm not sure what the problem can be! Maybe the relay went bad, Maybe its the switch itself. I can usually figure these things out but I'm at a loss right now. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I'd start with know good bulbs, & flasher relay(get the electronic one, if you want to use LED's in the future). Are the turn signal sockets and turn signal switch still good? Harness uncut?

Its the exact same way it was when I took the old ones off. All I did was tuck them up and zip tied them. It is the factory signals im trying to use and I tested them and they work just not with the blinker switch. I can go and get a new relay tomorrow. Does anyone know the model # of a good one I can use?

I don't have any part #, but most auto parts stores sell the electronic ones, bring your old one along, to compare the electrical connections(pins), as some are two, or three pins. Also, open up the handlebar pod, that has the turn signal switch, as it may be corroded, or have failing solder joints. Some of the older Kawasaki's are seeing this happen.

Is there a separate fuse for the blinkers?

I remember when I updated my other bike I had to go from a 3pin to a 2 pin. I didn't know if it would be the same with this bike. But I will take the switch apart as well tomorrow and see if something is wrong in there and try and bypass the switch to see if it is the switch or not. I can cut, weld, and fab but I HATE electronics!!!

It turned out to be the relay. Got a new electric one and hooked it up and BOOM, it works. So I went to put new LED signals on and they wont flash. They just stay lit, but if I take the old light and wire them in with the LED ones they all flash. What gives? This is driving me CRAZY!! lol!!

Back to the parts store for you sir. You have to get a flasher for LED lights. They have less draw so they will not flash. At least you found the issue. :D

Yeah I just assumed the one one I had got for my other bike would work but I do have the original back turn signals for that bike. I believe I need one that is low load with a ground right?
