what is the clutch lever switch for on a 1980 kz was created by tattooDan
stupid question probably,but what is the clutch lever switch for on a 1980 kz1000 shaft ? what does it do ? can I get rid of it ? I am changing the bars and some of the controls on them.

Sounds like the starter interlock. You have to pull the clutch in for the starter to work. Connect the two wires together and do away with the switch. Then you can start it without the clutch being pulled in.
