I would recommend going with the dyna green 3 ohm coils. Thats what ive ran for years with no problems. Also keep in mind when running a dyna s ign your not supose to run resister caps on the wires.

If I'm not mistaken, I thought I read that they have a lifetime warranty?

One of the pickups burnt out then, can't remember but there is a good chance I did this myself by pulling the plug wires and spinning it over while checking comp ?? All I remember is it happened in my shed and not on a ride.

But Anyway after a couple years of messing with points again ( and the bike sitting before the rebuild) I bought a second Dyna, wires and new coils. like the old saying goes its So nice setting it and forgetting it and if I get another 20+ years how can you beat that. ;)

90's sport bike coils (back when they had standard style coils) make a better spark than the green Dyna's when paired with electronic ignition. And they are much smaller/lighter and thus easier to fit between the frame tubes. Also cheaper when purchased used through a salvage yard or the flea-bay.

Part of the reason your points keep needing cleaning is that your condensers are probably shot btw.

Nope its only one year but thanks anyway. Way back when it happened I wrote em to see what it would cost for the one pickup and they wanted 80 dollars and something plus shipping both ways so I waited and bought it new.
