I had the hardest time to get the ring back on there that holds it all together. Doesn't look too good but it works. If I ever do a museum restoration, I will definitely have some specialists take care of them.

Z1Ent - Gauge Covers Chrome Top (pair) Kawasaki EM58-12410
Edit: these are decorative covers & I don't think they are intended to replace the clamping ring.

The eBay auction was:
ebay.com/itm?itemId=291049791377
The seller is retro-motorcycles. But my guess is they are made by one of the Japanese reproduction folks (e.g. Doremi).

ZERO wrote: What I've always done is to cut through the ring with a cutting disc at the very bottom of the gauge and pull it off. After repair of the instrument, I put some black R.T.V. along the inside of the ring, re install it and then cover it with a hose clamp and tighten the clamp. Let it sit overnight. Removed the calmp and cleaned up with some laquer thinner. There is no visible damage to the clamp except for the tiny slit at the bottom, wich is now covered.
Been thinking of doing this (for my KZ650) just to wipe out the water spotting ....... but Was thinking you would need to cut it in two places but you can do it on the bottom only and get it off without springing it outta shape ???
This is defently on my list to do if so. Thanks.
