Hello!

Please see the attached picture, can you please help me conect the dots? I completed the wirng on the bike but it is not working right????? i think I musunderstod the ingnition switch since it has 6 wires.

CAn some one help me connect the dots on the attached file?

red ignition switch goes to red tail light.

Blue wire from ignition switch goes to red/blue 10 amp fuse wire.

Orange/Green from ignition switch is your hazzard switch from bar control.

OK, Im going to get you to wire diagram.

Go to upper right of page. Find (Filebase) click on it

Goto 1978 and click on 1978. Go down list and find your model / bike and open.

You will see wiring diagram....open file and your in business.



Are you using factory right and left hand contols and head light?

I dont feel like it is getting proper spark, I couldnt see a blue arch when testing.

Maybe this will help for bare minimum to start the engine/charging ckt...

TL 1 & 2 are for your other electrical needs for lights, turn signals, horn, tail/brake lights, indicator panel etc...

I do not have a starter, I am confused as to if I can hook the coil and ingition power to the white wires that are coming from the switch.

Also do I hook up the coils power wire before the fuse or after?

I am confused because since I am NOT using a starter where do I get the power for coils?

The Starter relay appears to have a power wire which goes to the handle bar switches and then goes to coils.
