I also noticed the when the key is turned on, the oil light does not come on anymore and neither does the high beam indicator.

I had a similar problem on my 76, turns out
I had a pinched wire in the right hand control
( starter headlight run stop) and had just
moved it a little and kept blowing the fuse.

Possibly a loose connection further along
the harness near headlight. A pulled wire
my not have loosened under the tank but
further along.

I will continue to look. Will check the right side handle bar and inside the head light assembly.

I got my head light issue resolved today. I checked the voltage at the fuses and I was seeing voltage going into one of the fuses on the blue wire, but not any on the other side of the fuse. Pulled the fues and it did not look like it was blown. Tested the fuse with a multimeter and it checked good. Put another fuse in anyway and the light come on when the key was turned on. Thanks for all of those who helped with this issue.
