so i have an 78 kz200 i had a bad rectifier on there and so i replaced it and it shot volts through my ground wire and melted it. so i got a used one replaced all the burnt up wires and and plugged it in and again it fired my wire. would a bike running with out a rectifier burn up something else that would possibly not regulate my watts going into my battery im hesitant to plug another one in if its just going to fry my wire and i would not be able to ride

Running without a rectifier puts Alternating Current into a system designed for Direct Current. It will greatly reduce the life of electrical components, and possibly strand you. The ignition systems runs on D.C., so it might not work.

If you burned up two rectifiers, it sounds like your polarity is wrong. Either your Battery is hooked up backwards, or the Battery is reversed charged. Check both, make sure the Battery Polarity is correct.
