Now, let's make sure you have voltage directly to your igniter. It might seem like overkill but remember your harness is suspect.

So, follow this diagram:

none. It doesnt say zero or anything just "O.L" Not sure if OL means open loop or over limit

Sorry, I was gone for a bit.
Voltage check at Igniter:
Reading zero volts? That is a problem. You should be reading the same voltage at that point as you were reading at the coil. The ignition switch was on and the kill switch was set to RUN, right? If that's true then you have a break in that wire.

Continuity check for the coil to Igniter wire:
Usually, an ohmmeter reading "OL" means infinite resistance or an open. Basically, there is a break in the wire. Quick way to verify that is to simply hold the leads apart from each other and not touching anything and read what it says on the meter. If it reads "OL" then that is its way of saying infinite resistance.

Sounds like there is a problem in the harness between the coil and the igniter. Let's verify this.
Unplug the connector at the igniter and the one going to the kill switch.
Disconnect the two small wires from the coil.
Set meter to the Resistance setting as before.
Follow the instructions on these diagrams. This should ring out this harness completely.




Test 1a: Red lead on connector, black lead on coil wire
Test 1b: Black lead on connector, red lead on coil wire

Test 2a: Red lead on connector, black lead on igniter connector
Test 2b: Black lead on connector, red lead on igniter connector

Test 3a: Red lead on coil wire, black lead on igniter connector
Test 3b: Black lead on coil wire, red lead on igniter connector

Jot down the results of those tests.

When you jot down your readings make note of the scale. It will be shown on the display in the area shown in the yellow circle:

Im an idiot. I feel so stupid to post this but heres what happened. When you told me to disconnect them, I noticed that I switched connections from Ignitor and regulator. I feel really sick about that. Anyway, I switched it back to the right ones and started over testing them. Back to DCV where I had a reading at 0.00. I tested it again and it says -18.0 and I switched red and black leads and it reads at -16.6 .

Turn off key, stop position, Ohm - 00.8 (before it was OL)

I disconnected all connectors and plugs to make sure everything is good.

1a - 00.4
1b - 00.2
2a - 00.4
2a - 00.3
3a - 00.8
3b - 00.8

Im thinking that I might have fried the regulator or ignitor or both? :/
