Has anyone ever installed an auxilliary power outlet? I am thinking of adding one to keep my phone charged up or for a gps. i seached the forums and didn't see anything. There are lots of articles on other forums that show installation on a newer bike, but nothing this old ('80 kz 1000).

Yep, two of my three bikes have the 3BRPowersports dot com system. 12v to 5v USB port drives my GPS and cell phone. Slick setup and easy to install. I only wish they had a double port rather than just a single since I use both at the same time. Not really that big a deal though since you can alternate them. They have exceptional service and Don will take care of you.

I bought a couple of simple Power sockets at Wally World, and put them on each of the street bikes. They work fine and are about $5. Then I also set up the China Tools Float charger with a male end to plug in for battery charging. I use my Slime air compressor, and a 450 watt inverter for phone charging in the power socket. No GPS for me, I can still read a map well enough.
