Yeah, it seems that "CDI" is now the generic name for any electronic ignition.

Hello , back on spanish time here , thanks for all the replies , yes i dont know why i keep on calling it CDI , i have more expirience on 2 stroke morotcycles than with this ;) .

ok i found out a but more , the ignition kit is called Lucas Rita , its basically made for britt bikes , here are some more pics , the wiring is quite messy and i dont like it at all so ... since i have a brand new dyna s , i pressume ill be fine if i follow this steps , please correct me if i say something crazy ..

remove the "Alien " pick up
remove the coils
remove the ingiter module ( huge box btw )
remove the diodes ( attached to the coil)

clean up the wires and rewire as per the original diagram ( i have one )
install the DYNA S and the 2 green coils also from Dyna

It fires both coils, which means all four cylinders, at the same time, always. That's a pretty wasteful design (in terms of power) for a 4 cylinder. But, as you suggested, if you grind one point of the rotor down, it would be ideal for a 360 degree twin, like the KZ750 twin, or KZ400 twin. You can get rid of the big diodes that way too (they are only there because coils don't like to run in parallel). It seems like a poor design. All it takes is for one of those diodes to pop, and there you are, stuck on the side of the road.

I heard that Dracula and Lucas got into a real knock down fight in a pub one night over who had the more legitimate claim to the title "The Prince of Darkness".

That will be all you need (for the ignition anyway). The Dyna-S with the 3-ohm coils is a complete ignition system (minus plug wires and plugs of course). It may be a little tricky to mount the green coils. On my 750, I had to use some generic L brackets to get them on without hitting the tank. It should be a fairly simple install, though I caution you to make sure the wires from the Dyna-S are secured OFF the exhaust/mufflers. I just realized I hadn't done this yesterday when I kept blowing ignition fuses!

There is no way to properly set the timing with this set up. The timing "window" (big hole), should be at 12 o'clock. This is almost certainly a homemade setup!

EDIT: or is the pic sideways? LOL!

Sideways. Note the bulge on the right side of the casting in the photo. That is the bottom.

Bin the stuff and use the Dyna as you planned. I remember changing ballast resistors on Chrysler products back in the day and it was always when you really needed your vehicle that it crapped out. Got to carrying an extra in the glove box but always got dirty when going out somewhere! By the way, ever wondered why the English drink warm beer? Lucas made the electrics for their refrigerators!
Good luck! David
