As known, points ignition system doesn't use an igniter (or diy substitute for igniter).
Signal wires from points are routed directly to coil primary terminals.
Oem Kawasaki electronic ignition uses pick-ups (1st pic below) with an I.C. Igniter (2nd pic below). Signal wires from pick-ups are routed through the igniter to coil primary terminals.

You then also need the rotor.
I think the rotor will fit onto a points advancer, so I think you can use your original timing advancer.

I'm not sure that's an igniter. There are simply not enough wires for it to be an igniter for the early KZ electronic ignitions.
You need pos. and ground.
Plus 2 coil wires.
Plus 4 pickup wires.
It's not impossible to combine some wires and use the case as ground, but I've never seen Kaw do that.
I'm not sure what that thing is.

Am thinking the mounting plate with pickups and rotor-pointer from most any later model KZ650, and retain the existing advancer, but would await more confident advice.

Thanks, Lou! I grabbed the wrong pic.
Will atone by offering this smorgasbord of I.C. Igniters.
