I have a 1979 Kz650 B3 Model. I am having trouble with both of the front and rear (right and left) turn signals, when I select either of them they will turn on but will not flash or blink. I am not an electrician but all the wires seem to be connected right. Is there any easy fix for this? If not can this can wait until, I have some money saved up to get the my bike serviced? :huh: Thanks.

BLACK with YELLOW stripe, the ground circuit.
RIGHT FRONT TURN SIGNAL Can be an # 1157 dual filament bulb

Check the wiring for signs of corrosion/broken wires. Checked to see if the 4 way flashers work? It's seperate flasher can usually next to the one for the turn signals.
I'd replace all the turn signal bulbs in the front and rear(#1157 for the front,#1156 for the rear)and a new #1157 for the tail/brake light in the rear.
Turn signal flasher cans are cheap,just bring your old one to the nearest auto parts store for a replacement. Some are two prong,others are three prong.

(1) thermal;
(2) electronic.
The reported issue is often resolved with a new "electronic" blinker from the local auto supply store.

bad flasher unit.79kz650owner wrote: I just turned on the Hazard lights, all the light turn on and stay on but they will not flash.
If somebody changed to LED bulbs, they won't work with thermal flasher units. You need a solid state flasher.
