Well Motorhead I had it all figured out as far as the travel I would have to eliminate and thats done with the bending both sides equal, was thinking about heating the tabs with a propane torch and filling the fracture with solder for stability. So far this has been fun, and I have learned so much even in the frustration, its been worth every moment.

$222.00 for a Dyna 2000 Control Module.

For not much more than that I have coil on plug with four coils, firing sequentially with each plug coil independently adjustable for timing, duration, etc, programmable with a laptop.

And that's just part of the controller, it also does four cylinder sequential fuel injection, also independently adjustable.

To save money I did assemble it from a kit though, and I know not everyone is electronically inclined.

Four cylinder wasted spark could be done by the $140 MegaSquirt 1 kit, and fuel injection is not required either way.

Just another option for those so inclined.

Is there a thread on this system? I've often thought about Fuel Injection on my bike but don't know how difficult this would be.

There are a lot of people using MicroSquirt just for fuel injection, but I don't know anyone that's using it just for ignition, although it's easy to do.

Dave Sloan has a KZ650/810 that he has converted to EFI using GPz750 Turbo/1100 throttle bodies and a MegaSquirt.

There's actually a MegaSquirt forum at Cyclemadness with details of Dave Sloan's install (He's Evad over there).
