Hey guys, I'm still waiting on my starter clutch, but i was wondering, before the bike messed up and was still working, it had a problem staying idle and I had to throttle to keep the engine going, I've read that this was due to bad carbs, Is there anyway to remedy this problem? Thanks again guys and sorry for asking so many questions.

Might consider starting a new thread about the idle issue in the Carb category, which may elicit better responses.

The carb matters might tend to get lost here in this thread about starter problems in the Electric forum.

Good Fortune! :)

Including information about bike year and model in signature may elicit better responses.

And it's easy to put in your signature where it will automatically appear in posted messages.

When done, the signature information appears in all posts, past and future. :cheer:

And may be changed as often as desired.

Good Fortune! :)

In this thread you say you have a "1983 kz750 k1(belt)", in another thread you say it's a four cylinder. Can't be both, a KZ750 Belt is a 750 twin, a four cylinder 750 LTD would be a chain drive KZ750H, you need to correctly ID your bike.

All the answers provided are correct for the KZ750K1 LTD Belt, but they do you no good because you don't have one of those if it's a four cylinder. So you asked the wrong questions.

Post a pic so someone can ID the bike for you.
