Just to clarify, the bike starts if you short the two terminals of the starter solenoid?? As in the screwdriver across the 10mm starter solenoid nuts method. Like, it cranks over then starts up and runs??

Right on I got it!!! It was the solenoid after all. I went to my local lawn mower shop and purchased another solenoid, it works like a charm.

The question about De-Oxit's content?
I have an older can that lists Deoxit D100L, Petroleum Naptha, and Hydrocarbon Propelant.
The newer versions may have been changed to meet EPA regs, so go to www.deoxit.com to ask what the changes are.
