Geesh... doing the wiring for the turn signals and extending the wires to from the switchgear to the harness won't take more than a couple hours.
If you put your location in your signature as well as the other bike info, someone local might be able to help you for a little less than $1500 bwhahaha
READ THE FORUM RULES STICKY AT THE TOP OF THE SECTION! Put your bike year/model and location in your signature.
Are your control cables (clutch/throttle and brake line) ok as far as length?
Last note... you don't need a wiring diagram to extend the switch gear wires. Just look how they go together in the connector. You will need a new multipin connector. You can get them from z1enteprises.com as well as the tool for sticking the pins in OR from Radioshack. They call them DC connectors. Get a couple male/female 6 pin. Write down colors from the old pins... such as black wire goes to black wire and then cut the connectors off; solder on longer wires and use some shrink wrap over the splice and once all the old wires are extended, put the new connector on. You will have to solder the wires into the pins and then shove the pins into the male side. I would take the switch gear off I was working on and extend the wires on that side as I could do the work at a bench where things tend to be more organized. As far as your turn signals... you already have the connectors on the harness.
These connectors will be in the headlight shell for the front signals. You can probably get by with buying some turn signals from z1enterprises.com... I use some shorty type black plastic signals on one of my bikes and they are dirt cheap. The one wire or two wire things means a one wire or two wire filament; that is, turn signal OR turn signal/running light respectively. The 74 didn't have running lights so you would have to run additional wires for running lights IF you choose to use two filament.
Up front, in the head light shell are wires on your harness for the front signals. You will either find a LIGHT GREEN wire and a LIGHT GRAY wire OR two light gray wires (I can't recall on the 74 harness but Kaw always uses one of these two schemes on the older bikes... If you have two LIGHT GRAY wires, you have to figure out which way they plug in by swapping the plugs after install if the wrong turn signal flashes... Anyway, get the turn signals and get a HEAVY DUTY FLASHER relay from an autoparts store. The flasher relay will be cylinder shaped and about 1 inch long and have TWO prongs arrayed in an L shape. You plug this into the wire harness somewhere back near the battery. The plug it goes into has about the only L shaped plug (will be a single plug) and I think the wires are orange and brown (my ol' memory ain't good) Once the relay is in and you have the turn signals bolted in place (bolt them in the holes in the headlight ears on the sides of the headlight bucket and use fender washers as the hole is very big). Just connect the wire from your turn signal into the GRAY female connectors or the GRAY and GREEN. Put a washer under the mount and drill a small hole in the washer. Get some 18 ga black wire and strip some insulation and put the copper conductor through the hole and solder it where it won't come loose... put a crimp on male prong connector (blue connector for 18 ga. wire) on the other end. Inside the shell, you will find a dual out female with a black/yellow wire connected. You will plug in the black wire to this connector. Black/yellow is the color Kaw uses for all grounds. Do it for both turn signals up front... Don't worry about testing quite yet. Hook up your single wire turn signals in the rear by bolting them to the original mount point but use fender washers. Here you will have to do some wire splicing as the new turn signal. Anyway, you will probably have to extend the single wire where it will reach the LIGHT GRAY (2)or LIGHT GRAY and LIGHT GREEN female connectors on the back of your old harness. On a stock bike, the tail light and turns signals have their own small harness but I guess yours might be missing. If you are using it to run your tail light, then just connect the turn signal wires to the female connectors on this harness and don't splice. You will need to fab some grounds using the washer with a hole in it trick. Again, the connections will be to a dual black/yellow connector. The wires for the tail light are blue for brake light and red for the running light and the tail light may also hook into the black/yellow connector as it also needs a ground.
Now that all the turn signals are hooked up, start up the bike and give them a try. If you put the left turn signal on, and the right blinks, just swap wires. The heavy duty flasher was needed because the power draw for the bulbs in your aftermarket blinkers is different than the stock relay is designed for and won't blink at the right rate.
If you were local to me, I could do this stuff in no time... if it is your first time, just take your time and solder carefully and use shrink wrap. It ain't no big deal to do....

About the only thing needed on the left switchgear is the turn signal switch and horn. Try getting a switch gear off eBay from the say year as your wiring harness. It will be plug and play then! If you have to modify some other year switch, it will require figuring out where wires go and what their function is! Do you have your location in your signature yet? If not, there is prolly somebody who can help close by.
