12 Feb 2010 15:05Do you have to disconnect the oil sensor when you change the oil? Also, I notice that it has a fuel gauge...did your kz1000 come with one or did you have to create one for your bike?
Yes, you disconnect the oil sensor when changing the Oil and My ST came with a fuel gauge. If you do not have a sending unit in your tank ,You will not be able to hook up the fuel Gauge.

Good Luck!
In the video, the tach says your bike is idling at around 400rpm it looks. Whats up with that?
Can you set a max rpm/redline?
Can you calibrate/change tach ratio?
Ya it's fully adjustable and the rpm say 400 because of the new carbs ,They are not fully dialed in yet and manage to stay running a 400RPM.

Awesome guage!
I have an Acewell like OMR's. The only thing I wish is it was about 50% larger.

"The only thing I wish is it was about 50% larger."...
WHoa, my wife just said the same thing...
Larry and I discussed this for they are a small unit of sorts but they do work extremely well...
For the Acewell or similar units, you could always buy a Dakota casing for example and fab it in for larger appearances... Or have one machined out of aluminum for you guys...
Could be done but this stuff is expensive... :S
