The kz gods dont like me today

When working on these older bikes you almost have to go by a checklist especially if you get drug off for some other chore/emergency.

Or you lay awake at night thinking "did I tighten up that important bolt" or "are the sparkplugs only finger tight?" and "is there oil in the engine before I start it?".

MFolks i couldnt have said it better. My buddy was over when i had it apart, he told me to give up on it and buy a new one. This is coming from a guy that rides a 20,000 dollar harley his daddy bought him. I looked at him and said........so can i come by your house tommorow to get the check from your dad? He didnt say another word...lol

Well i rode the bike around the block a few times today, and i\on the final lef of it she died. I went to turn the key back on and the idiot light were really really dim, i mean barely lit dim. Im going to write it off as me killing the battery, becuse i had the key on alot, while i was staticlt timing it, and when i went over all the connections. So im letting it charge tonight, and ill put it in the bike when it charges up and see what happens. Does the dyna-s need a certain voltage for the bike to run? Like i remember when i had points in it i could run the battery really low and it would always start and run.....it would run shitty but would run none the less. I also have the headlight mounted onto a toggle switch because the left side handle bar switch is toast.

Well, i found my other problem, the tank had tons of shit in the bottom from sitting, i cleaned it out. Now im getting a really good fuel flow. It idles really well, awsome throttle response. I put on the yoshimura slip-on, i had on the z1 900 before the rebuild. The bike is quiet, and lots of power.

So let's ride Sunday and stop being a panty waist about it.

Hey Tirebomb, it was all in good fun. I have been trying to get oldkaws to ride with us forever. Jim Bob would have a barrel of fun riding with a herd of Kaws. Man!
Call me dude this Sunday I want to take a nice ride and would love it if you were free and could come out for the fun.:woohoo:
