The kz gods dont like me today

Argh its a beutifal day today, and im stuck driving the car to work....argh. I went out to start the z1, turned the key on and hit the starter and the battery was dead......fair enough because i havent rode it in almost 3 weeks. Then i went to fire up my 650, it took a few try's but it fired over.......but of coarse it was running like crap, so i knew i had to adjust the points.....i just have been putting it off, i went to loosen the 2 screws for the 1 and 4 cylinder set of points and they just turned and didnt come out or tighten back up. Shit......no i dont know if the threads on the srews are bad or if the threads on the points plate are bad. Any ideas? I just want to ride.

Probably stripped screws(hopefuly the threads are still good)if not, either Heli-coils or Time-serts will repair the problem.

Yup, i put the dyna-s on my z1, and it was a night and day difference. Im going to order a dyna-s for the 650 tommorow. Thanks OMR.

well mfolks was right, the screws were stripped out. Got new ones and now im back in buisness. What is the difference between the dyna-s and the dyna 2000, besides the price?

UGH!!!!!!!!!im done with the points on this bike, the new screws worked good enough to get me to work, but on the way home they backed out, in turn killing the bike..........i had to push the old girl home 1.5 miles..........argh. Im ordering the dyna-s from jeff at z1 right now and being done with it...................points suck big time.
