bike dont hold a charge?

its an 81kz550c i have 2 out the battery tender/charger on it every night 2 fully charge the battery. anyone know why my bike wont recharge itself? is the rectifier bad or the magneto? need help!

you need to put a volt meter on the battery when it is running to see if it is charging or not, that will be the starting point

Easy way to test the battery: let it charge on the tender until it's topped off. Put a volt meter on it and crank test it: pull your spark plug wires off the plugs and crank the starter. A good battery will hold 9V or higher under starter crank test (higher is better).

If the battery is good and you get no charge, it has to be the rectifier/regulator assembly or the magneto assembly.
