Are you saying that instead of a round bundle of wires going down the frame, you should have flat ribbon-like wires running down it? What do you mean by 'crossovers'? Do you happen to have a picture you could show us?

Sorry, I just meant the wires should be parallel, like a ribbon cable rolled up, not necessarily flat.
If I can get a photo of something, I'll post it.
By crossovers, I just mean where the wires cross over each other in the bundle such that they are not parallel.
